who am i
Hello! My name is Enric and I am from Santa Coloma de Gramenet (Barcelona). I arrived in Girona in the late 90s to study at the UdG.
I have a degree in Environmental Sciences from the UdG. I took a postgraduate course in Quality Management, Environment and Occupational Health and Safety at the UOC. I have an Executive MBA from EAE Business School. And a few years ago I earned my Sommelier title from the Girona School of Hospitality and Tourism with the UdG.
It didn’t take me long to realize that these lands attract and create addiction. I quickly fell in love with its landscapes, its people and, obviously, the good food and good drinking that is practiced here. I am one of many adopted people from Girona. An old newcomer who, even today, twenty years later, continues to be surprised by the views offered by Les Gavarres or the Llémena Valley. Or that crazy wonder that is the Empordà plain, or the Fageda d’en Jordà, or… so many things that the Girona regions have to discover.
Will you accompany me?

The Shop
The El Celler d’en Xiqui project is a personal commitment to providing a way out for all those farmers, ranchers, and producers in our regions who work hard every day to carry out their operations in a dignified and respectful manner with the land that surrounds them.
Girona is a privileged area where products of the highest quality are made. We have an innovative and entrepreneurial primary sector that is making great efforts to publicize the delicacies they produce.
Artisan producers who put their soul into every bottle of wine they put on the market, or every jar of jam, or whatever they make. And many times they have to seek a life far from our borders because here, we simply didn’t even know they existed.
That is why El Celler d’en Xiqui wants to be the store where Girona residents can find Girona food. The one of a lifetime. What our farmers and ranchers do. After all, who, if not them, are the ones who maintain this territory and this splendid landscape full of life? If we don’t drink our wine and eat our cheeses, who will?
And not just because they are ours, which they are too, but because they are delicious, they deserve it and they are worth it.
Come and enjoy!
