The boom that the DO Empordà is experiencing in recent years is not, far from it, accidental. It is the result of a job well done for a long time, at all levels. The new generations of oenologists and winegrowers have given the DO a very important leap in quality in the wines. But not only that, more and more wineries are opening their doors to visitors who want to see where these unique and singular brews come from.
The tourism board is promoting the so-called Wine Route. And the people of Girona are finally consuming and demanding the wine of our land. And so, everyone rowing in the same direction, our wines and our DO have gained a prestige worthy of mention. It is for this reason that El Celler d’en Xiqui has wanted to specialize in the wines of the Empordà.
